Your health and safety is a top priority. Our installers will follow CDC guidelines and wear the proper protection throughout the installation. We sanitize our tools and equipment before and after each job. We’ll work to accommodate special requests to keep you and your family safe.
Do I have to buy a package or can I buy a la carte?
We’ve bundled the best products together to help make it easy, but you can always purchase products individually if you're looking for something specific.
What if I already own other smart products?
Our ecosystems are compatible with the majority of connected products. We are happy to schedule a virtual consultation to review and discuss how we can incorporate the smart products you already own.
Can I mix ecosystems or do I have to choose between Amazon, Apple, or Google?
We recommend choosing one ecosystem, although many of our products are able to operate across multiple software simultaneously, if necessary.
Are smart homes secure?
We only work with manufacturers that make security and privacy a top priority. We enable 2-factor authentication on our security camera feeds to ensure your account remains secure.
When can I get installed?
View our calendar and schedule your install at checkout. We’re typically able to install most projects within a week from purchase.
How long does install take?
Installation times vary based upon the product purchased, but we’re able to complete most jobs within a single day.
What happens if I buy the wrong product or something is incompatible during install?
Upon arriving for install, we will survey the house. If we identify any issues with the products you purchased, we will offer alternative solutions.
Can I arrange additional services during installation?
Yes, we can quote additional services during your appointment. The services may be able to be completed the same day, if the product is on hand and time allows.
What happens if I need technical support or extra training?
We’ll provide the necessary training prior to leaving the install. We offer additional support packages should you need assistance later down the road.
What about future compatibility?
All of our products receive manufacturer updates, keeping them relevant as long as possible. When it is time to upgrade most of our products can be replaced as needed without having to replace the entire ecosystem.
Do you offer warranty on your services/products?
We provide a 60-day workmanship warranty on all service(s) from the installation date. Please notify us immediately of any issues. We will work to confirm the existence of such workmanship defects, and we will work with you to correct the issue.
All products come with a manufacturer’s warranty pursuant to the terms and conditions set forth by the manufacturer.
**Exclusions: (1) This does not apply to any defects resulting, in whole or in part, from your or third-party acts or omissions (including, without limitation, abuse or misuse of the products or devices, or acts of God) (2) does not apply to any products or devices (including, without limitation, any defects in the products or devices); and (3) this is non-transferable.
What is your return policy?
If you are unsatisfied, you can return your products within the first 7 days.
What is your cancellation and rescheduling policy?
Once your installation is scheduled, you may only make changes by phone (312) 788-7043 or email: firstname.lastname@example.org. Please contact us at least 48 hours prior to the scheduled service. Failure to cancel your appointment prior to our arrival will result in a $50 fee to the payment information on file.
Can you set up my business or commercial space?
Yes, our tech works great for restaurants, small businesses, and events. Schedule a call with one of our experts to discuss custom projects.
What type of payment options do you have?
We accept Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal and all major credit cards.
What is your service area?
We are based in Chicago, IL and currently install throughout the city of Chicago and surrounding suburbs.
What are your hours?
SMRTER HOME offers in-home service appointments seven days a week, from 9:00AM - 6:00PM daily except during national holidays.
